How do I book a private party?
Complete the “get a quote” form and submit with as much detail as possible. An event coordinator will respond to you within 48 hours with a proposed menu and terms for your review and approval.

How do I confirm my reservation?
A reservation can only be confirmed with a fully executed contract on file, and then on a first-come basis. Please complete the last page of the proposal that was sent to you and return by email or fax to 866-767-9780.

What is your capacity?
Mezzanine up to 35. First Floor up to 55. Full Buyout up to 90. Wine Bar up to 25. Terrace up to 35.

Is parking available?
Street parking is available, permit parking rules do not apply weekdays after 5pm or anytime on the weekends (except where otherwise stated) there are also hourly paid parking garages just one block east of Satis. See map for parking garage locations.

Can I add lobster or caviar to the menu?
Menu changes are permitted under certain circumstances and with sufficient notice, additional charges may apply.

How far in advance do you book parties?
We can book private events up to 18 months in advance.

How long is my party?
Dinner parties are priced for 3 hours. Brunch parties are priced for 2.5 hours. Restaurant buyouts are priced for 4 hours.

How will you arrange the tables for my party?
Table arrangements depend mostly on the size of your group, but we will work with you to design the best possible layout and provide a final map with table numbers to reference.

Do you recommend we have assigned seating?
Assigned seats are not necessary, but we have experienced it works best when guests are assigned to a table.

Are there any fees for booking my party?
There are no administration fees or costs, although depending on the date/time of your event, there may be food and beverage minimums that must be met to avoid a room fee.

Is tax and gratuity included in the pricing?
No, pricing does not include NJ state sales tax or any staff gratuity.

Can I have a cake or flowers delivered before my event?
Yes, as long as it is coordinated with Satis at least 48 hours in advance and the date/time of delivery is convenient for Satis.

Is there a cake cutting fee?
If customer has selected a prix fixe menu, then NO, we will be happy to cut and plate your cake at no charge. However, no discount or menu substitutions will be made in lieu of the cake or outside dessert. A la carte diners are charged a $6/person cake cutting fee.

Can I decorate the space for my event?
Yes, we permit people to decorate to a certain extent. Balloons and confetti are NOT permitted. We find small 4×4 inch flower vases to work best as centerpieces. Also, banners are acceptable so long as wording is appropriate and Satis walls and/or fixtures are not damaged by hanging. For customers that do not have a private event, we ask that their decorations be toned down so as to not offend regular dining guests.

When can I come in to decorate for my party?
Many times, your party will be before or after another party or regular diners. For that reason decorating can be done on a case by case basis, and must be approved by your event coordinator in advance.

Can I have a table for my cake and presents?
Assuming there is sufficient space, yes, tables for cake and present display will be provided.

Can we bring a DJ, photographer or use a microphone or my ipod for our event?
Yes, but only if the entire restaurant has been bought out for your event. Under no other circumstances would these requests be permissible otherwise.

Can we make a toast and/or have an awards presentation?
We remind party guests that the mezzanine, while private, is open to the main dining room below, as such, we ask them to keep their group’s volume level to a controllable level so as to not offend or disturb regular dining guests or other party groups.

Do you have audio/visual equipment available for presentations?
Yes, we have a 60 inch HD screen and projector with sounds system available for those guests that would qualify as able to use.

What days and times can I host a party?
A party will be considered for any day or time, even on holidays or dates we are normally closed.

Do you have a children’s menu?
We do not, but child friendly food items can be added to any menu or be made to order.

I have a food allergy, can I still dine with you?
Yes, depending on the severity of your food allergy. Typically, if we know at least 72 hours in advance of any food allergies, we can accommodate guests with food substitutions.

I have guests with handicaps, can I still host a party at Satis?
Yes, we can host parties on our first floor to accommodate guests with handicaps.

Are kosher meals available?
Yes, we can provide kosher meals through a vendor. However, we would need to know at least 5 days in advance so the items can be ordered and paid for separately. The cost of the kosher meal(s) is above and beyond the price of the regular dinner price which would still be charged.
